a) The total capacity of the disk can be calculated as:

Disk capacity = 20 * 1000 * 16 * 1KB = 320 MB = 0.32 GB

b) The data transfer rate can be calculated as:

3000 rotations in 1 min or 60 sec, i.e., 1 rotation in 60/3000 sec

data read in 1 rotation = 16 * 1KB, i.e., data read in 60/3000 sec = 16 KB

so, data read in 1 sec = 16 * 3000/60 KB = 800 KB

so, data transfer rate = 800 KBps = 0.8 MBps
